I enjoy and benefit from such conversations, and I appreciate the common or divergent grounds of both xpyre and luthien. Maybe that's because I'm a journalist-blogger, and appreciate vantage points from both sides of the fence. I guess since there's a blogger born every second in the world, the attrition rate would be fantsatically big too, I'd term this is a hot pursuit of "survival by PersonalQuality-and-ReadershipPull" (as compared with traditional media, which is governed by marketplace for survival -- supply-and-demand forces). Maybe yours thrive long and well!
