bloody reprobate, cow-brained, dickheads blow up bali again!
I’m getting sick of this shit. Terrorists bomb the shit out of Bali yet again. Fuck you, terrorists. May worms infest your nether regions.
BBC has reported bomb blasts in at least two areas. More news here. Some old, but useful, analysis on JI here. If the terrorist suspects are indeed Malaysians, I hope they get extradited back here to Malaysia where we can roast those bastards slowly over hot coals for bringing such shame to our country’s name. Fuck their suicide “jihad”, and fuck their piece of shit “causes”.
I suppose these illiterate dog-fucking sons of maggots don’t have much choice, do they? I’d imagine the only thing they allow themselves to think is: jihad jihad jihad anti-america jihad jihad jihad. Well, aren’t we surprised.
UPDATE:

The news keeps coming in over the TV and I’m tuned in right now to the Beebs for updates. The picture above just encapsulates the whole tragedy, culled from the BBC. Names of the dead by candle-light. When the blasts occurred in 2002, we were all shocked and disheartened, quite a number of my friends having visited Bali. That it happened so close to home made us feel that much more vulnerable: living in a self-declared ‘Muslim country’ may not be a saving grace against madmen hell-bent on killing you for your ideas, your way of life, your beliefs.
It was with a bit of black humour when my friends and I remarked how JB would probably be a first target, being ‘Sin City’ and all. Now that I remember that bit, it doesn’t sound so funny anymore.

It appears, from all reports, that the latter photo
may be the least horrific of scenes.

A noodle restaurant, one of the targets

Lone, ineffectual and stupid?
Or the spectre of helplessness?
When the bombs went off about 3 years ago, my friends who visited Bali not 2-3 months after the bombing were gleeful: things had gotten so much cheaper, and they could tell that operators in Bali were desperate for business. Let’s not kid ourselves: Bali is not just a tourist destination for ‘touristy’ locales, but for other ‘business’. And we shouldn’t judge: Bali’s full of life, ripe and a destination in all its senses. When all of this sinks in, I wonder if Bali will remain as such.
